Do you find yourself tossing and turning every night? Do you get angry or frustrated when you can't sleep. I will give you several proven steps that will guide you to a wonderful sleep. You will sleep like a baby! Just by following these steps you will find yourself sleeping like a baby. I also found some awesome natural supplements that will help you with your sleep. I was unable to sleep, I would go days with out sleep. I would finally fall a sleep just a couple hours before I would have to get up. Does this sound like you or someone you know?

The most important step to any venture in dealing with a health problem is proper nutrition. With out the proper nutrition your body will continue to fail you. Today you can't sleep, tomorrow you catch the flu, the next day you have an even worse disease until you start to implement proper nutrition immediately.

When going to bed you must be comfortable. You should sleep on a soft mattress with some support for maximum blood flow. Do you ever find yourself needing to move because of pain on one side or the other, that is from the lack of blood flow though your body. Also the type of linens is very important you should use white linens best because they are the most porous. White linen is best but expensive. A great alternative is white cotton. The pillow should also be of the same with a goose down pillow. A proper pillow allows support for neck and circulation and airflow around the head. Your room should be as dark as you can make it. We were meant to sleep in the dark not in daylight. It should always be quiet. Your brain is still reacts to sound while your body is at rest. Did you ever have a dream and you wake up all sweaty and hot. You were not running or moving in bed your brain was taking in the information. That is because your brain is processing the information but your body is resting. Also make sure your room is ventilated and at or about 65 degrees. Ever notice you sleep great when camping or sleeping outside. Proper ventilation and fresh air is key. Open up your window just a crack. No matter what time of the year it is.

Here are some quick tips for getting a good nights sleep. I will not go into great details on these issues some are self explanatory.

1.)Sleep only as much as you need.

2.)Never listen to or fall asleep while watching t.v. or the radio.

3.)Get up at the same time everyday

4.)Add exercise to your daily schedule

5.)Avoid eating and drinking before bed. Do not eat up to 3-4 hours before bed

6.)If you are to hungry to sleep, (this does happen) eat a light snack, a starch no protein

7.)Avoid caffeine, smoking, and alcohol

8.)Do not get angry before bed, be relaxed, avoid watching violent or negative t.v. programs. Avoid playing video games with in 2 hours before bed. Do not exercise before bed. Read a book, begin to put your body in relax mode.

9.)Do not be a clock watcher. If you find yourself doing this turn the clock away from you. If you are uncomfortable don't get angry or frustrated just do something different.

I know if you follow these simple steps, you also will find yourself sleeping like a baby. I found improving my nutrition was my first step to improvement. This will have to be every ones first objective when tackling any health related problem. Nutrition to ones body is the chocolate in chocolate cake recipe. It is the oxygen to life.
